Thunder in Hills Bike Rally Bandera 2015

Sissy & Bella (out Road King & Road Trek's name)
I love Bandera, I love the hill country, especially in the Spring.  Smokey has been studying for a promotional exam so we have been "trying" to stay home, but we had already promised my BFF Eliza that we would take this trip with them.  So... here we go...We left Houston about 8ish on Friday morning.

Saw lots of wildflowers on the road between Houston and San Antonio, reminded me of my Mom & Dad. Daddy always picked (although illegal LOL) the first of the Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes and pink buttercups for my Mom.  Probably the only flowers Mom received from Dad.

Had our first drink after stopping in Columbus for breakfast at Taquiera El Rey (huge tortillas) we went into Wal-Mart and bought us a 3 inch mattress topper (best investment for our RV, besides our RV Sleeping Bag.

Got to Bandera around 2:30PM to find the Lopez's already set up on their spot. We stayed at Pioneer RV Resort Bandera.

The park was perfect.  It was clean, the restrooms and showers were nice. Everyone was friendly.  We could have just hung out the rest of the day.  But we decided to try to get some riding in.

We took off to go to Luckenbach TX, but on the way we caught up with Debbie, Santos and others, so we rode back into Bandera. We also went to visit Lisa with Bandana Bling, bought some bandanas and a bracelet.

Then later that night we went to visit Debbie, Santos and the others at the house they rented.

Eliza said this reminds her of me!

Nice ride, but a bit scary, especially
when we came upon an accident where the a lady flew off her bike & over the railing then down the hill about 20 feet.  We all stopped to help and call 911. We later heard that she and her husband were flown out to a hospital. Makes us all be a little more careful and thankful we all made it back safe.

On the way back we stopped in at the Chicken Coop, then over to the Silver Dollar. OH and somehow those Diva shot glasses made it home with me...hmmmm

Saturday night we went into town to 11th Street Bar to listen to a cover band.
